About Me

Once upon a time, there was a young woman. Like many young women her age, she didn’t know what she wanted from life. She only knew that she expected to be swept off her feet.

One day, a beautiful young man did sweep her off her feet. And she has been floating for 14 years.

That time has been filled with ups and downs as the winds change, and twelve little clouds, two in cat shapes and six in chicken shapes, have joined the journey – Peanut, Bud, Sweet-Pea, Pumpkin, Precious, Sunshine, Xena: The Warrior Chick, Big Bertha, Lucy Little, Pluto, Rosella, and Teri. They stay close to home as the family learns, plays, works, and lives together.

I hope you enjoyed the story above. I am stay-at-home-homeschooling mom of four, with two cats and six chickens. I work part-time as a violin/viola teacher. I play in the local community orchestra. I volunteer with our homeschool group. I volunteer on the staff of Pagan MoonBeams – a free pagan homeschooling newsletter. I own and operate a freelance writing business – Domovoi Press. I love learning about our family’s history. I am an avid reader. I am a prolific television and movie connoisseur. I am a Christian. I am a Wiccan. I am a woman.

As you can see from the list above, my life is full of many things. This blog is my place to share those things with the world. There are so many other things I would like to say that I am. In the end, it all boils down to one thing. I am ME.

Basically, this is a place for me to talk about what I’m thinking or learning about. Topics may change a lot, and many of the things I write about may be boring to a lot of people. But I hope that somewhere out there will be at least one person who is helped by my writing. If something here strikes a chord with you or helps you in some way, please let me know.

I am a stay home full time grandmother of a 3 year old ad 5 year old ( with aspergers diagnosis). I am no religion but love the teachings of Jesus, the Buddha, Baha’u’llah, Native American teachings, Hindu teachings, and love pagan books I’ve read. I wanted to homeschool my grandson but find that the christian homeschool group here ( the only one in Hartsville) doesn’t welcome because I am not a professed Christian. I feel very alone and isolated . Did I mention that the neighbors don’t want their children to play with grandchildren, I think because they are bi-racial? I found your website and felt drawn to “talk” with you. I am not very computer literate, so I’m not sure if I am doing this right. If you would like to talk with me, please respond. Thank you.
