Tooth Fairy Pillow

So, it’s official – my youngest is no longer a baby. She’s not even 5 yet!!! LOL!

I don’t know if anyone uses them anymore, but I quickly threw together another Tooth Fairy Pillow right after her tooth came out.

Here’s the pattern I made up:

  • worsted weight yarn
  • H hook
  • polyfill stuffing

Pillow front

  • Ch 16.
  • Row 1-2: sc across (15 sts).
  • Row 3: sc in first 5 sts, sc through back loop only in next 5 sts, sc in last 5 sts.
  • Row 4-9: sc across. Finish off.

This can be a little confusing, so bear with me.

  • Join yarn around post of sc on Row 3, before free loops on Row 2 of front piece.
  • *Sc in free loops of Row 2 (5 sts), then sl st around post of next st on Row 3.
  • Sl st around sc in row above on front piece, turn, then sc in sts of last row.
  • Repeat from * until you have 5 rows of the pocket. End with sl st around post of current row. Finish off.
  • Pull ends through to back side of front piece.

Pillow back

  • Ch 16.
  • Row 1-9: sc across (15 sts). Do not finish off.

Holding front and back with wrong sides facing and front piece facing you, *3 sc in corner st, working through both pieces. Work 7 sc across ends of rows, working through both pieces. Work 3 sts in corner st.* Working across foundation row of both pieces, work 13 sc. Repeat from * to * on time. Stuff pillow with stuffing, then work 7 sc across ends of rows and finish off. I simply tucked the ends inside as I was working around. If desired, you can work any kind of shell or loop st around pillow for added decoration. Punkin told me she didn’t want it, so I stopped after the one round.

That’s it!
